We all have our 2-cents worth to say … the crime, the noise, the traffic, the bars, and all the other things on our chests’ about the neighborhood.

Well, get them off your chest at the next neighborhood meeting!

What are your first impressions of our neighborhood? Good, bad, or somewhere in between!

The first impressions of a neighborhood really count towards property values and the livability of the piece of Phoenix we call home.

With the weather cooling off, now is a great opportunity for us start working on our neighborhoods curb appeal by cleaning up our yards, and donating those unsold items from the yard sale!

Remove Visible Outdoor Storage. Keep properties free of visible outdoor storage of household items, building or landscaping materials, appliances, parts or other items.

Consider donating items that are of no more use to charity. Locally, we have the Salvation Army drop-off on 20th Street & McDowl Road.

Remove Inoperable Vehicles. Inoperable vehicles visually detract from community appeal.

Consider donating inoperable vehicles to charity organizations. Many of these organizations provide a tax benefit for donated vehicles. To donate a vehicle try: http://www.donateacar.com 1-800-23705714 and http://www.donate-a-car.org 1-800-549-7501
